BRAVE WORLD

Brave World is a new piece of mine for jazz sextet and small chamber orchestra. .I started writing the six movements of the piece in 2015 and then started workshopping and rehearsing it with the students of Trinity Laban Conservatoire Of Music And Dance.  The piece also FEATURES some of my favourite UK jazz  musicians who I've worked a lot over the years  including Seb Rochford (drums) Liam Noble (piano) Tom Herbert (bass) and John Parricelli (guitar). Serious productions in London got involved and before long we had sorted out a gig at the 2016 London Jazz Festival, the clips below are both from that first performance on November 13th 2016. Next stage is to find a way of recording the piece for a CD to be released in 2018. Watch this space!
